New: Instant decryption of Mac hard disks encrypted with FileVault
Passware Kit now decrypts hard disk images from Mac computers encrypted with FileVault. It acquires a memory image of the running Mac computer over FireWire, then scans it and extracts FileVault encryption keys. With these keys, Passware Kit decrypts the given hard disk image.
NOTE: This feature is available in the Enterprise and Forensic editions only.
New: Password extraction from encrypted Mac keychain files
Passware Kit recovers passwords for Mac OS keychain files. The latest version also extracts information from the decrypted keychain files, including saved login and passwords (for websites, network shares, wireless networks), private keys, secure notes, etc.
NOTE: This feature is available in the Enterprise and Forensic editions only.
New: Recovery of hashed passwords with Rainbow Tables
Passware Kit now uses a new Rainbow Tables attack to recover user account names and login passwords from hashes.
The new password recovery attack supports unsalted LANMAN, NTLM, SHA1, and MD5 hashes, and uses unpacked .RT tables (RTI1.0 and converted RTI2.0).

New: Custom dictionary construction based on memory analysis
Passware Kit now analyzes a memory image of a running computer and extracts all the words and stored passwords from it to a dictionary file, which can be used by the Dictionary attack to recover the passwords. This memory image can be acquired using Passware FireWire Memory Imager (included in Passware Kit Forensic) or a third-party tool, such as Win32dd.
New: Dictionary import from third-party forensic tools
Passware Kit now supports dictionary files from third-party forensic applications, including Guidance EnCase.
Passware also offers a new comprehensive dictionary file for download. It contains almost 23 million of the most frequently used passwords in English, Spanish, Italian, German, and Finnish.

New: Optimized CPU usage in Distributed Password Recovery
Passware Kit now adjusts the CPU usage during the password recovery process, depending on user activity. This means that while the password recovery is in progress, the CPU usage can be reduced if you are using your computer for other tasks, and, on the contrary, it can be used 100% if the system is idle for maximum performance of the password recovery process.
NOTE: This feature is available in the Enterprise and Forensic editions, and Passware Kit Agent.
